Women's clothing The dejected Burnley boss said after the defeat: "It's a big disappointment for me after how well we played. "We created numerous chances and we really had to take one of those and, if we had, I've got no doubts we'd have won the game. "We've dominated the game but lost and we can't keep playing well and getting results like this. "We carved them open numerous times through good football, but at this level you have to be clinical. Portsmouth certainly were today because I can't remember too many times they got in behind us. Erin-Baby Bootie "These are the margins and if you don't take your chances you're going to be punished. "We're in the best league in the world and we've made a rod for our own back. "But the only way to solve it is through hard work and by keep giving the level of performances we have, but finishing the chances." Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted Saturday's 4-0 rout Kids Classic Boot of West Ham United has left him with a major defensive selection headache. We used out experience," said Ferguson. "We had six defenders missing before the game, Gary Neville has had to come off after half an hour and then of course Wes Brown has had to come off. Out of favour: Pavlyuchenko Roma's bid to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko has hit a stalemate over the Italian club's unwillingness to do a straight cash deal for the Russia striker. Bayern Munich dismiss link with Liverpool striker Ryan Babel

The Dutchman is reportedly one of Bayern coach Louis van Gaal's targets this winter, should he still be in charge of the Bavarian club, but Nerlinger denies there is any interest. With Mario Gomez, Miroslav Klose, Ivica Olic and Thomas Muller, Van Gaal already has plenty of options in his attack, which is why World Cup winner Toni is so keen to leave and find first-team football elsewhere. "Thank god the transfer market is opening soon," he told Italy's Rai television. Reina sets sights on Euro win

Posted in Unspecified

Goalkeeper Jose Reina claims Liverpool are ready to make up for their Champions League disappointment by winning the Europa League. D&G sunglasses The Reds have been forced to reassess their targets for the season after being dumped out of Europe's premier club competition despite defeating Debrecen 1-0 on Tuesday night. Fiorentina's 1-0 success over Lyon in the other group game condemned the Anfield club to a place in the continent's lesser-ranked competition in the new year. However, despite the obvious disappointment, Reina believes winning the inaugural Europa League - the new name for the UEFA Cup - would go some way to making amends for their torrid season.Nike Shox R4 "Of course we are disappointed because the Champions League is a big competition that we have done well in," said the Spain goalkeeper. "Now we are out, though. It's tough but it is not always possible to get out of the group stage. "The Europa League is another competition for us and we want to win it. "It also has strong teams and it will be nice to play in it. It's already become a target. There are also so many good teams involved, but we have to look forward and keep trying to win."But the development, which would have created more than 3,000 new jobs, was today officially refused by Communities and Local Government Secretary, John Denham, who raised concerns over the possible harmful effects on the 'vitality and viability' of local communities. Gucci Low Shoes Denham decided the move would breach shopping policy which discourages major supermarket chains from taking business away from town and city centres. The decision comes as a bitter blow to a club currently struggling towards the wrong end of the Premier League table. Chairman Bill Kenwright had placed his hopes on the success of a public enquiry earlier this year, which the government had used to assess the arguments of both the club and the various groups who opposed the new development. But the involvement of supermarket giant Tesco, who, ironically were contributing almost half of the £150m needed for the new ground, looks to have scuppered what former Women's clothing chief executive Keith Wyness described as 'the deal of the century'. Under the terms of the deal, Everton were required to stump up just £78m for the new stadium, a bargain in comparison to the likes of Wembley, the Emirates and Tottenham's new home which is estimated at a cost of £400m. However, despite successfully balloting their shareholders, season-ticket holders and members on whether or not to move out of the Liverpool city boundary to Kirkby (59.27 per cent voted in favour of the move), Everton have faced constant opposition to the scheme from fans, Kirkby residents and members of Liverpool City council.Gucci Leisure Sneakers Air Jordan 6 Rings

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp backs old pal Avram Grant for Portsmouth job

Harry Redknapp has tipped Avram Grant for the Portsmouth manager's job following the sacking of Paul Hart yesterday. Former Pompey boss Redknapp also gave Grant his backing for the post after Hart was forced out of Fratton Park having taken only seven points from 13 matches in the Barclays Premier League this season. Grant, appointed Portsmouth's director of football only last month, worked as a technical director at Fratton Park during Redknapp's second spell as manager in 2006. He's managed Chelsea,' Redknapp said. 'I'd be surprised if he didn't end up taking it. 'It's a good opportunity for him to get back into management. But I don't know, only he'd know what he wants to do. He would be my choice if anyone was to take it.' Redknapp did however admit he was unhappy when he learned of his formercolleague Hart's fate, especially due to the tough circumstances ofplayer sales and uncertain club ownership in which he was forced towork. In the running: Avram Grant Ex-Pompey favourite: Harry Redknapp 'I was disappointed to hear that,' Redknapp said. 'He did a great job under difficult circumstances. It's sad to see him lose his job. 'It's been tough for him. I've been impressed with the way Portsmouth have played. They played against us the other week and played ever so well. Gucci Low Shoes However, he has no intention of moving to the Riverside Stadium on a permanent basis, saying of his temporary spell on Teesside: "It's an opportunity to play half-a-dozen games to get my match fitness back up and then get back to Stoke to try to force my way back in there. "Am I flexible on staying with Boro? No, not really. It's six weeks and I'll try 100 per cent to do my very, very best to leave them in a good situation, but I signed a contract at Stoke and my aim is to get back in their first team. "I thought I'd done it at the start of the season and I'll try to do it again. Women's clothing "There are reasons now why a permanent deal would be very, very difficult. It would affect more people than me and that's not fair. "My family's carved out its own life away from football. My wife has a very good job in London she's worked really hard to get, and it wouldn't be fair for her to leave at this stage. "This would be a fantastic club to come to, but my ties are such that it would make it difficult, if not unfair, to come for more than six weeks."Gucci Leisure Sneakers Air Jordan 6 Rings

Owens last shot for England

Posted in Unspecified
IT is still early days, but the great Michael Owen gamble has not yet paid off. Three months into the season and the three figures who had most riding on his summer move to Old Trafford have reaped little reward. Sir Alex Ferguson has failed to find someone capable of Women's clothing replacing the goals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez. Fabio Capello is still without the world-class poacher to give England that extra dimension at next summer's World Cup. And Owen, himself, is yet to prove he can rediscover the form that once made him one of the deadliest finishers in Europe. It is only November, but you suspect that even Owen may have finally given up on his World Cup dream. When he revealed this month that England did not occupy his thoughts at night, he wasn't joking. What would be the point? His exclusion from the 1-0 defeat to Brazil on Saturday appeared to be the final nail in the coffin for his World Cup hopes - and it appears that only a Fendi Men Shoes huge reversal of fortune between now and the end of the season can revive his chances of forcing his way into Capello's squad. The England manager has already suggested that he will take only four strikers to South Africa. And if Owen was finding it hard enough to prove he is among the top five marksmen in the country, he has virtually no chance of being in the top four. Hopes It is too soon to totally write off anyone's chances of taking part next summer, but common sense dictates that Owen's only hopes of breaking into Capello's squad revolve around him holding down a regular first-team place at United, while his rivals must go the other way. Only an alarming loss of form or injury could jeopardise Jermain HOGAN Shoes Defoe's chances of joining Wayne Rooney - while Emile Heskey's main concern is his lack of regular football at Aston Villa. Peter Crouch, the man most likely to take up the fourth spot in Capello's pool of strikers, appears to be the perfect combination of the manager's ideal forward - a player who can ally aerial and hold-up play with goals. The problem for Owen is that his rivals don't end there. Carlton Cole and Gabriel Agbonlahor are also ahead of him in the pecking order, with Capello choosing to look at them more LV Men Shoes closely than a man who has scored 40 goals in 89 internationals. Owen now has only one more international match - a friendly in March - with which to stake his claim for next summer's finals. But the bulk of his argument will have to be laid out over the next three months at United - which is where things get tricky. If Ferguson doesn't even consider him worthy of a regular starting role, why should Capello even entertain the thought of bringing him out of international wilderness? His stunning last-gasp winner against City has earned him a place in Old Trafford folklore and was a vivid reminder of what a deadly finisher he can be. But it stands out as the only significant highlight of his United career so far. Arguably only Rooney - of England's other strikers - could have produced such a sublime touch and finish in those circumstances, but even that hasn't been enough to persuade Ferguson to use Owen as more than just a bit part player. As superb as his Carling Cup strike was against Barnsley, it was largely inconsequential Mauri Men Shoes in the greater scheme of things. And while four goals in six starts for United is an impressive statistic, his absence from the starting line-ups to face Arsenal, City, Liverpool and Chelsea tell the true story. Even with his forward line unusually shot shy - United have scored 23 league goals so far compared with Arsenal, 36, Chelsea, 29 and Liverpool, 27 - Ferguson still doesn't trust Owen in the biggest matches. Whether that is due to fitness or form is unclear - but if there are question marks about either then Capello simply cannot take the risk of naming him for South Africa. Scoring Much can change between now and March and it is hard to imagine Owen not scoring if given a regular run in the team. But the waters could still get murkier, with Ferguson looking closely at adding more firepower to his squad in January. David Villa of Valencia is a long-term target, while Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko is an exciting prospect - even if he is currently talking up a move to AC Milan over his UK suitors. Owen's England rival, Carlton Cole, has even made it on to Ferguson's radar as he looks for a player capable of providing the goals United have lost in the absence of Ronaldo and Tevez. A keen follower of the horses, his free move to Old Trafford was a gamble Owen simply had to take if he was to stand any chance of reviving his World Cup dream. As yet though, there is little sign of it paying off. Paul Smith POLO Shoes SUPRA Shoes Versace Men Shoes

Some teams have developed standing habit of sitting down

Posted in Unspecified
The NBA was long overdue to take a stand on sitting. Versus, y'know, standing. After hearing an increased number of complaints from ticket holders in the priciest ZIP codes of its arenas, the league issued a preseason memo reminding teams that players not in the game should remain seated when the ball is live. It allowed for spontaneous reactions to specific plays -- the "Hey! Did you see that!" moments we all experience at NBA games -- and naturally permits players to rise and walk to the scorer's table when it is their turn to sub in. But it wanted to clear out the long, tall loitering that was becoming a problem along the sidelines as non-participants, more and more, began to stand in their warm-ups, erecting human walls up to seven players wide and seven feet high. Women's clothing Two weeks into the regular season, six weeks since the edict came down, we're unaware of any teams getting fined or even reprimanded for excessive standing. Backup players on two of the most egregious offenders from recent seasons, the Celtics and the Cavaliers, occasionally have been spied reminding themselves to park it -- Psst! We've gotta sit down. Pass it on! -- as they learn to break the bad habit. And since 11 teams woke up Friday with three or fewer victories, they didn't have much to stand up and get excited about anyway.ED Hardy Boots It's an understandable reaction, wanting to stand at critical moments. As an instinct, research suggests it was developed when the first saber-toothed tigers came sniffing around cave entrances; nothing could make Homo get erectus faster than the fear of becoming some carnivore's lunch. It was only a short leap from there to wanting a better view, and feeling the adrenalin, when Gork next door decided to poke that predator with the handiest sharp stick.ED Hardy Hoodies People stand up at concerts, too, although that's far more likely to occur for a Springsteen set than something by Shostakovich. It invariably leads, however, to escalation inflation: The folks in front of you stand up, so you stand up, prompting the people behind you stand up. Next thing anyone knows, you've all created a stadium "wave," only vertically rather than horizontally. Then the jackasses in front of you decide to stand on their seats. See how rapidly someone can go from "folks" to "jackasses"? That's the problem with standing. Only rarely is it completely synchronized. Women's ed hardy hoodies At the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, fans first of the Hornets and now of the Thunder injected some old college tradition by standing until the home team scores its first points. It was neat to see -- the first two or three or a dozen times. But if you show up at tipoff hungry, with a beverage in one hand and a plate of nachos in another, and you need a lap to rest something in, it can get old. If the Thunder starts with a scoreless four minutes, that gets old too. I've always figured those seats are bolted there for a reason. They're to be used. If I wanted standing-room only views, I'd have bought those tickets. It comes down to basic courtesy and civic responsibility. If everyone parks their butts where they're supposed to, no one has to stand. That's why, at a recent University of Minnesota football game, I could only laugh at the red-faced, maroon-and-gold clad fan who got mad at his fellow spectators for sitting. This forty-something bozo was on the rail, first row of the second deck, but he stood up as the Gophers' offense huddled for a third-and-long play. He then turned to the people behind him and hollered, "Tim Brewster said he wants us to stand on third downs! C'mon! Coach says we should stand!"Ed Hardy Women's Longsleeve Excuse me? Coach wants us to stand? Last I checked, he worked for the taxpayers of Minnesota, not the other way around. More than a few of us snickered at Mr. Sis-Boom-Bah in front of us and went back to checking our text messages. (It was, after all, Gophers football.) Sports can get tricky that way, with people forgetting just who is there for whom. Yes, in a sense, fans are there for the players, showing up to support, applaud, critique, marvel at and appreciate them. But players are there for the fans first, to entertain and thrill. ED Hardy Men's longsleeve "You have to understand that the people sitting close to you want to see the game," San Antonio forward Richard Jefferson told me last week. "You have to be respectful of your business -- those people are paying the most money. The value of those seats goes down if no one can see the game from there. All of a sudden, less money from those seats, less money that goes in our pockets. "There are times in a game where it's understandable for a team to stand up and root and cheer. But some teams were just excessive. It was like, 'Sit down, stop being cheerleaders in the middle of the second quarter.' " When I first heard of the NBA's sit-down memo, I was a little sympathetic to the players, thinking of some places around the league where they have fairly lousy seats. Standing has to be preferable to sitting at Madison Square Garden, for instance, where the bench chairs traditionally were crammed together so closely that some players opted to park on the floor near the baseline. Only now that's verboten too -- instead of rich guys paying for seats, it's rich guys paying for ad exposure. "The days when, where it was really tight, you could sit down on the baseline, you can't do that anymore," said Minnesota vice president of basketball operations Fred Hoiberg. "You can't sit against the signage anymore either, unless you have some sort of medical condition. Like Steve Nash with his back." Hoiberg became something of an expert in bench etiquette over 10 seasons with Indiana, Chicago and Minnesota. In 541 career games, he was a sub 480 times. He knew where his teams' stars liked to sit when they came out of games, he knew where rookies were likely to be planted when a coach yanked them out for an earful of instructions. He knew where he liked to sit too. "Some benches always had extra seats -- those were the ones I looked forward to sitting on," Hoiberg said. "In a place like Atlanta, they had, like, 15 seats. I always liked those. But in other arenas, they've got us packed in like sardines. It makes you want to stand up." Remember, these guys are used to first-class flights. And Bentleys are known for their comfortable cushions. "Dallas has those chairs that I think NASA developed. They were the first ones with the really nice chairs," Hoiberg said. "Most of them are pretty standard."Ed Hardy Men's Sport Ed Hardy Women's Trousers It's clear that much of the standing was borne of thoughtlessness and false enthusiasm, along with a little one-upsmanship between teams. As in: If you're going to stand for the last five minutes, we'll stand for the whole fourth quarter. Oh yeah, the entire second half? Well then... Certainly, the NBA itself loves those sideline shots in their highlights packages where even grizzled veteran players are on their feet, oohing and aahing and elbowing the teammate standing next to them about what they just saw. What the league, along with the Celtics, the Cavaliers and other transgressors seemed to forget was that their benches are not manned by a bunch of jockeys. There are only so many Earl Boykins, Spud Webbs and Muggsy Bogues to go around -- and see over. As for those coaches who spend most of the game pacing like Benny Hinn in full ministerin' mode, they would do well to remember that John Wooden did just fine from his hindquarters, waving a rolled-up program.

Dwight Howard Shows Superwang to Porn Star Mary Carey in N*Sync Member’s Bathroom

Posted in Unspecified

Life is good for Dwight Howard. He’s coming off his first NBA Finals Appearance, a Defensive Player of the Year Award and an All-NBA First Team selection. He’s also averaging a very respectable 19.6, 11.8 and 2 for a team that has a real shot at winning it all this year. Everything is not on the positive side for Howard, however. He has had some foul trouble of late and he and his coach are trying to figure out the refs and what Howard needs to do to stay on the floor. And he has reportedly been having girl troubles. That’s the understatement of the year, if this story is true. According to SportsRadioInterviews.com, Air Jordan 11 Howard met porn star/one-time California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey at the Los Angeles International Airport. The two took a liking to each other and they communicated often. Actually, let’s let Carey tell us the story: Dwight’s a cool guy. For a month, we like talked on the phone and he was always trying to give me prayers to get me out of porn and give me Bible verses to read. So then, I was going to go visit him when I was in Orlando, but I went over to this other guy’s house instead, Chris Kirkpatrick from N’Sync. And then Dwight started calling, and calling, and calling me, because he knew I was with Chris Kirkpatrick, Air Jordan 12 so eventually at 3 in the morning, Chris was like don’t answer Dwight’s calls. I get a text from Dwight at 3 in the morning - I’m outside Chris’s house. I’m like oh my god, what do I do? I was like, I got Dwight here and I got Chris in the other room and I’m talking to them back and forth. So finally I had to just pull Dwight in the bathroom and tell him he needs to go home. I was like I’m really sorry, I really like you, but this isn’t the time or place. When I pull him in the bathroom, he pulls his pants down, I was like whooa. Yeah, and so I ran and started screaming... You cannot make this stuff up. So let’s recap: Boy meets girl, boy tries to convert girl, girl meets new boy and goes to his house, boy finds about girl is at new boy’s house and comes over, girl tries to let boy down gently, boy whips out his junk, girl runs away screaming. Rumors that Jameer Air Jordan 13 Nelson was there with a tape measure have not been confirmed. To be fair, Carey says that she would not have reacted in that way if she hadn’t been dating Kirkpatrick. But that doesn’t excuse the desperation showed by Mr. Howard. Superman cannot show up at another guy’s house and whip out his Superwang in an effort to win the girl who obviously chose to spend the evening with a second-rate boy bander instead of the Man of Steel. If she wasn’t responding to your calls, she’s not interested. Not tonight anyway. Carey says Howard later apologized and talked Air Jordan 14 about how uncharacteristically he acted when he dropped trou in front of her. Such behavior is something you wouldn’t expect from someone so outwardly religious, so maybe he was just having a moment of weakness. Maybe he is just so used to hearing people telling him to "Take it strong to the hole" that he was temporarily unable to differentiate between life and basketball. Or perhaps he’s just not used to being a superstar athlete with a huge wallet and being told no by a woman when he tries to assert himself. Whatever the case may be, this is certainly not the sort of thing you want to associate with the star of a team that strives to be family friendly. I can’t imagine that Howard will have too much to say about the incident. If Carey’s account is true, he acted irrationally. If it’s not, he was still trying to bang a porn star. Hopefully, Dwight will do the sensible thing next time. Pop in the video like the rest of the population and use his imagination.Air Jordan 15
